The short answer
On turn-up prices, the cheapest official car park for a week is Mid Stay, at £250. The airport's price list shows a lower gate price for Silver Zone, £240 for a week by our sum, but its car park FAQs say Silver Zone must be booked online in advance, so don't count on turning up there. Bristol Airport's own example of booking ahead is dated: 15 days in the Multi-Storey from 15 January 2026 cost £187 online against £650 at the gate, which it describes as a saving of up to 70%. Treat it as an illustration, not a current price. For short visits, Short Stay is an 8 to 10 minute walk from the terminal, at £65 for the first 24 hours. Only collecting someone? The Waiting Zone is free for up to 60 minutes, with a frequent bus to the Transport Interchange.
Every turn-up price on this page is the airport's own published price, checked on its website on 5 Oct 2026. Weekly totals are our sums from those prices. Pre-booked and partner prices change often, so we link to them live rather than quote them. How we check.
The seven official car parks
These are the seven car parks on Bristol Airport's main parking page; each name links to the airport's page. A separate Minibus/Over Height car park takes minibuses of up to 16 seats and vehicles over 2.5m.
| Car park | Distance | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Silver Zone | Free shuttle bus to the Transport Interchange, every 15 minutes; the airport gives the ride as 7 minutes | Stays of 3 days or more, booked ahead |
| Mid Stay | 8 to 15 minute walk to the terminal | The lowest gate price for a week among car parks you can drive into |
| Short Stay | 8 to 10 minute walk to the terminal | Short visits, and stays of up to 8 days |
| Multi-Storey | 3 to 10 minute walk to the terminal | The shortest walk with your keys in your pocket |
| Meet & Greet | 3 to 5 minute walk to the terminal | Handing over the keys close to the terminal |
| Drop Off & Pick Up | On the Transport Interchange, a few minutes' walk to the terminal | Quick drop-offs and collections |
| Waiting Zone | Near the Car Rental Centre, with a bus to the Transport Interchange | Free waiting and pick-ups |
- Silver Zone: A park-and-ride where you leave your keys: you pull in, check in at a self-service kiosk in Reception and hand them over, and staff move the car to a parking area on site. The courtesy bus runs to the Transport Interchange, which has level access to the terminal over a covered bridge. The airport's FAQs say Silver Zone must be booked online in advance. Its price list still shows gate prices, from 3 days, marked as subject to availability and authorisation from the Silver Zone team, so treat them as a guide, not a plan. Postcode BS48 3DW.
- Mid Stay: You keep your keys and walk. The airport recommends it for stays of 8 days or more, and says it is well lit, with CCTV and staff on site 24 hours. Postcode BS48 3DY.
- Short Stay: Take a ticket at the entrance barrier and pay at the pay station before you leave. The first 15 minutes cost the same as 10 minutes in the Drop Off & Pick Up car park. A single day costs more here than in the Multi-Storey, but from the second day the gate price is lower. Postcode BS48 3AQ.
- Multi-Storey: Number-plate entry, many covered spaces and a 2.1m height limit. The airport recommends it for stays of 3 to 8 days. It has 20 electric-vehicle chargers (22kW, 45p per kWh) on a first-come, first-served basis. Postcode BS48 3DY.
- Meet & Greet: Book ahead only. You park in the Meet & Greet spaces on Level 2 of the Multi-Storey and hand your keys in at the Meet & Greet Reception; the car is kept in the airport's secure on-site storage. A Premium version uses gold-signed valet spaces in the Drop Off & Pick Up car park instead. Either way you collect your keys from the Reception on Level 2 when you return. 2.1m height limit.
- Drop Off & Pick Up: The airport's paid drop-off, with a maximum stay of two hours. Number-plate cameras, no ticket; pay by contactless, chip and PIN, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no credit card surcharge. 2.5m height limit: minibuses and taller vehicles have their own car park.
- Waiting Zone: Free for up to 60 minutes, for drivers dropping off or waiting to collect someone. It has a pay station and toilets. The airport describes the bus to the Transport Interchange as frequent but gives no timetable; returning passengers take the Car Rental Centre bus from Bus Stop 1. You can't come back within 30 minutes of leaving: the airport says doing so brings an automatic parking charge notice. Postcode BS48 3DW.

Booking ahead: Bristol Airport's own example of booking ahead is dated: 15 days in the Multi-Storey from 15 January 2026 cost £187 online against £650 at the gate, which it describes as a saving of up to 70%. Treat it as an illustration, not a current price. Book on the airport's own site, or compare prices on the booking sites below. The airport's FAQs say Silver Zone and Meet & Greet must be booked online in advance. Gate prices run on 24-hour days; pre-booked prices count full and part calendar days. The airport says most bookings can be changed or cancelled free up to 48 hours before your stated arrival time, with a £5 fee after that; the exception is Silver Zone Non-Flexible, which can't be cancelled, refunded or amended. It also says it will match a lower public price for the same car park found within 24 hours of booking.
Park or get dropped off? A week away
| Option | Cost for 7 days |
|---|---|
| Dropped off and collected at the Drop Off & Pick Up car park (10 minutes each time) | £17 |
| Dropped off and collected using the Waiting Zone's free 60 minutes, taking the bus to and from the Transport Interchange (the airport's page lists no fare) | Free |
| Mid Stay, turned up | £250 |
| Short Stay, turned up | £265 |
| Multi-Storey, turned up | £330 |
A lift costs least in charges, but it means two return trips to the airport for whoever drives you. If you're driving yourself, don't just turn up at the barrier: even the cheapest official car park costs £250 a week that way. The Bristol drop-off guide has the full rules for the Drop Off & Pick Up car park. We leave Silver Zone out of the turn-up rows: its price list gives gate prices that come to £240 for a week, £10 less than Mid Stay, but says they are subject to availability and authorisation from the Silver Zone team, and the airport's FAQs say Silver Zone must be booked online in advance.

Booking sites and private spaces
Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell spaces in Bristol Airport's own car parks. When we checked, every Bristol car park on their pages was listed as one of the airport's own, though Airparks uses some names the airport's site doesn't. YourParkingSpace is different: it is a marketplace where owners rent out driveways, garages and other spaces near the airport. Their prices change often, so compare them live.

Picking someone up
| Where to wait | Cost |
|---|---|
| Drop Off & Pick Up car park, a few minutes' walk | £8.50 for up to 10 minutes, £10.50 for up to 20, £13 for up to 40 |
| Short Stay, 8 to 10 minute walk | £8.50 for up to 15 minutes, £10.50 for up to 30, £13 for up to 45 |
| Waiting Zone, bus to the Transport Interchange | Free for up to 60 minutes, then £20 |
The Waiting Zone is the free option: wait there until your passenger is ready, then drive round to the Drop Off & Pick Up car park, or let them take the Car Rental Centre bus out to you from Bus Stop 1. Don't let either car park run on: the fourth quarter-hour takes Short Stay to £25, and 40 to 60 minutes in the Drop Off & Pick Up car park costs £30. Stopping on the approach roads is not an alternative: they are Red Routes, with a £100 parking charge, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. The Drop Off & Pick Up car park is ticketless and takes contactless, chip and PIN, Apple Pay and Google Pay; in Short Stay you take a ticket and pay at the pay station before you leave.

Hotel and parking the night before
Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell hotel-and-parking packages at Bristol. Holiday Extras describes three kinds: hotels within walking distance of the terminal, hotels where the car stays in the hotel car park and you transfer by shuttle bus or taxi, and park-and-ride packages where you drive to a secured car park the next morning and catch its shuttle bus. Check which kind yours is before you book.

The Premium version starts from gold-signed valet spaces in the Drop Off & Pick Up car park. Holiday Extras and Airparks list the airport's Meet and Greet too, so compare the price for your dates.

Blue Badge and accessible parking
Blue Badge holders, and family or friends dropping them off, can stay up to 40 minutes in the Drop Off & Pick Up car park for £8.50, the standard 10-minute price: the badge itself has to be scanned, using the barcode on the back, at the exit barrier. Blue Badge bays are in Silver Zone (rows 313 to 340, by the reception building), in the centre of Short Stay and on Level 2 of the Multi-Storey. The airport says every Silver Zone shuttle bus has a wheelchair ramp and is certified to carry one wheelchair. See how Bristol compares with other airports in the Blue Badge guide.
