A lift costs £14 in charges. Dropped off and collected at the Pick Up & Drop Off area (20 minutes each time). Only collecting someone? The airport says there is currently no free option: the Pick Up & Drop Off area costs £7 for up to 20 minutes. Why the sums have shifted at Southampton
Southampton's drop-off charge has risen from £6 in 2025 to £7, up about 17%. Each rise makes a lift a little dearer, but at £14 it would take a much bigger rise for a lift to cost more in charges than even a day's parking. Every UK rise is tracked in the price index and the change log.

Southampton Airport Parkway is linked to the terminal by a covered footbridge with a lift — the airport describes it as 99 steps and under a minute from train to terminal. For some trips that takes the park-or-drop-off question off the table.
