The short answer
On turn-up prices, the cheapest official car park for a week is Long Stay, at £280. Newcastle Airport says booking ahead can save up to 60% on stays of a day or more. For short visits, Short Stay 1 is immediately outside the terminal entrance, at £60 for the first 24 hours. Only collecting someone? The Airport Waiting Zone is free for up to 90 minutes, with a free shuttle bus to the terminal.
Every turn-up price on this page is the airport's own published price, checked on its website on 2 Oct 2026. Weekly totals and the booking-ahead example are our sums from those prices. Pre-booked and partner prices change often, so we link to them live rather than quote them. How we check.

- Premium Meet & Greet: The airport's own meet and greet, which it calls its closest car park. You drive through inspection booths, check the car in with staff and walk to check-in. The car is stored in a secure airport location and brought back for your return. Maximum height 2.7m, and no vehicles with eight seats or more.
- Express Car Park: Ticketless: cameras record you in and out. The exit takes cards only; to pay cash, the airport says to use one of its designated cash payment machines. For vehicles with up to seven seats and no taller than 2m.
- Premium Fast Track: Extra-wide spaces and a covered walkway to the terminal. Airparks, which also sells it, says Fast Track security passes are included for everyone travelling with you; the airport's own page doesn't mention passes.
- Short Stay 1: The airport says it suits anything from a few hours to several weeks.
- Minibus & Van Parking: Height limit 2.9m, with a pay-on-foot ticket machine. You leave through Short Stay 1.
- Short Stay 2: Number-plate cameras on the way in and out. Airparks, which also sells it, puts the walk at 3 to 5 minutes.
- Premium Long Stay: The airport publishes no turn-up prices for it. It has disabled bays and number-plate cameras, and Airparks puts the walk at 3 to 5 minutes.
- Long Stay: Take a ticket on the way in. Disabled bays are in zone A. Airparks, which also sells it, puts the walk at 5 to 7 minutes.
- Airport Waiting Zone: Next to Callerton Parkway Metro station (NE13 8DN) and free for up to 90 minutes. A free, fully accessible shuttle bus leaves the zone at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour and the terminal on the hour and half hour. The airport's pages give different hours for the bus (24 hours a day on one, from 3am until an hour after the last scheduled arrival on another), so check before a very early or late trip.

Booking ahead: Newcastle Airport says you can save up to 60% on stays of a day or more. At the full 60%, a £280 Long Stay week would cost £112: that is our sum, not a price the airport publishes, so check the live price. Book on the airport's own site, or compare prices on the booking sites below. You don't need to book for stays of up to four hours. Bookings are charged per calendar day or part of one, so Monday to the following Monday counts as eight days. The airport charges £5 to cancel close to your arrival: within two calendar days according to its help centre, within 72 hours according to its booking terms, which also say some special offers can't be refunded.
Park or get dropped off? A week away
| Option | Cost for 7 days |
|---|---|
| Dropped off and collected at the Express Car Park (10 minutes each time) | £12 |
| Dropped off and collected using the Airport Waiting Zone's free 90 minutes, plus the free shuttle bus each way | Free |
| Long Stay, booked ahead, if you get the full 60% off (our sum) | £112 |
| Long Stay, turned up | £280 |
| Short Stay 2, turned up | £290 |
| Short Stay 1, turned up | £360 |
| Premium Fast Track, turned up | £440 |
A lift costs least in charges, but it means two return trips to the airport for whoever drives you. If you're driving yourself, don't just turn up at the barrier: even the cheapest official car park costs £280 a week that way. The Newcastle drop-off guide has the full rules for the Express Car Park. Or skip the car: the airport has its own Metro station, and the journey to Newcastle city centre takes around 25 minutes.

Off-site car parks and booking sites
Newcastle Airport's help centre says it also has affiliated off-site car parks, naming Park & Fly, Bellair and Callerton, and advises researching any off-site company before you hand over your keys. Booking sites sell the airport's own car parks too: Airparks says every Newcastle car park it currently sells is an official on-airport one. Their prices change often, so compare them live.

Picking someone up
| Where to wait | Cost |
|---|---|
| Express Car Park, outside the terminal | £6 for up to 10 minutes, £12 for up to 30 minutes, £20 for up to an hour |
| Short Stay 2, a short walk away | £4 for up to 15 minutes, £14 for up to 30 minutes, £20 for up to an hour |
| Short Stay 1, outside the terminal entrance | £12 for up to 15 minutes, £16 for up to 30 minutes, £22 for up to an hour |
| Airport Waiting Zone, Callerton Parkway | Free for up to 90 minutes, with a free shuttle bus |
The Airport Waiting Zone is the only free option: you wait there for up to 90 minutes and your passenger takes the free shuttle bus, which leaves the terminal on the hour and half hour. To meet them at the terminal instead, Short Stay 2 is cheapest for a stop of up to 15 minutes, at £4 against £6 for 10 minutes in the Express Car Park. For more than 15 minutes and up to 30, the Express Car Park is cheaper, at £12 against £14. The airport's roads are Red Routes, so don't stop on them. The Express Car Park is ticketless. Its exit takes cards only, and the airport says cash can still be paid at designated cash payment machines.

Hotel and parking the night before
Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell hotel-and-parking packages at Newcastle. Three hotels are within a five-minute walk of the terminal: the DoubleTree by Hilton (2 minutes), the Britannia (3 minutes) and the Premier Inn (4 to 5 minutes). In some packages the car stays at the hotel; in others you move it to an airport car park on the morning you fly, so check before you book.

Meet & greet and valet
The airport's own Premium Meet & Greet is the one it calls its closest car park: you check the car in with staff and walk about a minute to check-in, and the car is stored in a secure airport location and brought back for your return. Airparks sells Premium Meet & Greet too, so compare its price with the airport's own before you book.

Blue Badge and accessible parking
Newcastle Airport doesn't publish a free period or discount for Blue Badge holders: its help centre says standard parking charges apply. The airport says all its car parks have disabled bays, which can't be reserved; its special-assistance page lists them in the Express, Short Stay 1, Short Stay 2, Long Stay and Premium Long Stay car parks. That page places assistance points, linked to the Passenger Services team, by the bays in the Express and Short Stay 1 car parks. If you need your badge while you're away, the airport asks you to leave a photocopy on the windscreen. If you need to be dropped off or collected closer to the terminal, it asks you to email its team for advice. See how Newcastle compares with other airports in the Blue Badge guide.

Lounges and fast track
Newcastle has an Aspire lounge in three tiers: the Aspire Lounge (hot food, snacks and drinks included), Luxe by Aspire (its own self-service food and drink, plus workspaces) and the Suite by Aspire (adults only, with restaurant-style table service). The airport's booking page lists the Aspire Lounge and the Suite by Aspire. Security Fast Track, the airport's fast lane through security, is booked ahead on the airport's site. The airport's own rule is that children aged 5 and under use it free with a paying adult, and everyone aged 6 or over needs their own pass.
