The short answer

On turn-up prices, the cheapest official car park for a week is Long Stay Car Park, at £245. Terminal Car Park 1 and Terminal Car Park 2 both cost £75 for 9 to 24 hours and £75 for each extra day at the gate. Mid Stay lists £40 for each day or part of a day but no first-day price, so we can't give an exact weekly total; on any reading of its price list, a week there costs at least £255, more than the Long Stay Car Park. London Luton Airport says booking ahead can save up to 65% on on-the-day prices for stays over 24 hours, subject to availability. It doesn't say which car parks, dates or lengths of stay get the full 65%, so treat it as a ceiling and check the live price for your dates. For short visits, Terminal Car Park 1 is a 4-minute walk from the terminal over a direct link footbridge, at £75 for the first 24 hours. Only collecting someone? The Long Stay Car Park is free for up to 2 hours, with a free shuttle bus to and from Bus Bay B at the terminal, which the airport says runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, and takes about 10 minutes.

Every turn-up price on this page is the airport's own published price, checked on its website on 17 Oct 2026. Weekly totals are our sums from those prices. Pre-booked and partner prices change often, so we link to them live rather than quote them. How we check.

Booking ahead: London Luton Airport says booking ahead can save up to 65% on on-the-day prices for stays over 24 hours, subject to availability. It doesn't say which car parks, dates or lengths of stay get the full 65%, so treat it as a ceiling and check the live price for your dates. Book on the airport's own site, or compare the independent car parks below. The minimum pre-bookable stay is 24 hours. The airport's booking terms say self-parking and Priority Parking Drop & Go bookings can be changed or cancelled without extra charge up to 24 hours before the booking starts, though a change can alter the price. If you stay 2 hours or more beyond your booking, the terms charge the overstay in 24-hour blocks, paid by card at the exit barrier (at the Priority Parking reception for Drop & Go). Gate prices count each additional day or part of a day.

A lift costs least in charges, but it means two return trips to the airport for whoever drives you. If you're driving yourself, don't just turn up at the barrier: even the cheapest official car park costs £245 a week that way. The London Luton drop-off guide has the full rules for the Drop Off Zone, and park or drop off at Luton compares the two by trip length. We leave Mid Stay out of the weekly rows: its price list gives £15 for up to 60 minutes and £40 for each subsequent day or part of a day, but no price for the first day, so a weekly total can't be worked out from it. Even counting the first day at the £15 one-hour price, a week would be at least £255.

If you need longer than 30 minutes to pick someone up, the airport says to use the Long Stay Car Park, free for up to 2 hours: your passenger takes the free shuttle bus from Bus Bay B, just outside the terminal, which the airport says takes about 10 minutes and runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day. The Drop Off Zone is signed for pick-ups too, at the same £9 for up to 12 minutes and £1 a minute after, with two entrances to spread the queues. You must not leave the car unattended there, and the airport's drop-off page says staying past 30 minutes brings a £95 enforcement charge, reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days. Near the roundabout before the tunnel, follow the signs, not your sat-nav. The Drop Off Zone has no barriers or pay machines: cameras read your number plate and you pay online at lutondropoff.apcoa.com by midnight the following day. In Terminal Car Park 1 and the Long Stay Car Park you take a ticket at the entrance; in Long Stay, stays over 2 hours pay at a machine before leaving.

Hotel and parking the night before

Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell hotel-and-parking packages at Luton. Holiday Extras describes three kinds: hotels where the car stays at Airparks while you're away, hotels with meet and greet, where a professional driver parks the car, and hotels where the car stays in the hotel grounds for your whole trip, with transfers between the hotel and airport usually by taxi. Check which kind yours is before you book.

Hand over the keys

Meet & greet and valet

The airport's own Priority Parking Drop & Go is its key-drop service, which replaced Meet & Greet: you park in Priority Parking on Level 2 of Terminal Car Park 1, check in at a self-service machine and drop your keys in a secure key chute, and a driver moves the car to secure on-site storage. It is a 3-minute walk to the terminal by a direct link bridge, and on your return you collect your keys from a locker by scanning your receipt. The airport publishes no turn-up price for it. Holiday Extras and Airparks sell independent meet and greet at Luton, including TakeOff, Purple Parking, Maple Parking, Airparks and Holiday Extras Meet and Greet. Holiday Extras says the meeting point varies by provider but is always within easy walking distance of the terminal, and, unlike the airport's Drop & Go, there's no self-service kiosk or key drop. Compare them with the airport's own service before you book.

Blue Badge and accessible parking

There are no Blue Badge concessions in the Drop Off Zone. Instead, Blue Badge holders, and people with proof of booked Assisted Travel, get the first 30 minutes free in Terminal Car Park 1, then reduced rates: £7.50 for up to an hour and £19.50 for up to 3 hours, against £21.50 and £30.50 at the standard rate; from 3 hours the prices are the same as everyone else's. In Terminal Car Park 1, take your badge or proof of booked assistance to the APCOA offices on Level 2 and press the help point before you leave. The airport's Blue Badge page heads the same rate table 'Terminal Car Park 1 & 2' and tells Terminal Car Park 2 users to press the intercom on exit, but its prices and drop-off pages name only Terminal Car Park 1, and concessionary rates don't apply in the drop-off and pick-up area on the ground floor of Terminal Car Park 2. The airport says it has 327 accessible bays across the site, including 82 in Terminal Car Park 1 and 113 by bus stop 7 in the Long Stay Car Park, whose free shuttle is fully accessible. Mid Stay has Blue Badge bays in zone A but no bus. See how London Luton compares with other airports in the Blue Badge guide.

Lounges and fast track

London Luton has two lounges with prices on its lounges page: My Lounge (from £37.99 per adult, after security in the main departure hall) and the No1 Lounge (from £38 per adult, after security next to Gate 17). The same page mentions the Clubrooms Lounge, with an à la carte menu, but gives no price for it. Fast Track, the airport's own lane from Departures to the Security Hall, costs from £4 booked online more than 24 hours before your flight, or from £8 at the airport's kiosks; it runs from 04:15 to 20:00, children under 2 go free, and tickets can be cancelled or amended up to 24 hours before arrival.
