The short answer
On turn-up prices, T2 West Multi Storey (P3) and T3 Multi Storey (P14) tie at £443.80 for a week, at £63.40 for each 24 hours. They are the only official car parks you can drive into without booking, and their maximum stay is 10 days. Manchester Airport says pre-booking can save up to 77% on the turn-up price, based on an 8-day stay in January 2027; it doesn't say which car park or which turn-up price that is measured against. It recommends booking ahead, especially at peak times such as the summer holidays, and warns that its multi-storeys have limited capacity and can't serve all demand at peak periods, so it can't guarantee you a space if you just turn up. For short visits, T2 West Multi Storey (P3) is beside Terminal 2, a 4 to 5 minute walk away, at £63.40 for the first 24 hours. Only collecting someone? Manchester has no free waiting area: T2 Express Pick Up costs £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, and the free drop-off at JetParks 1 is no use for collecting, because its shuttle bus runs one way only, from the car park to the terminal.
Every turn-up price on this page is the airport's own published price, checked on its website on 25 Oct 2026. Weekly totals are our sums from those prices. Pre-booked and partner prices change often, so we link to them live rather than quote them. How we check.
The official car parks, drop-off and pick-up areas
These are the car parks on Manchester Airport's own parking pages, with its free JetParks 1 drop-off, the terminal Drop Off zones and T2 Express Pick Up; each name links to the airport's page. Only the two multi-storeys take drivers who turn up without booking.

- T2 West Multi Storey (P3): One of the two car parks where the airport says you can turn up and park on the day: its FAQs say to use T2 West for Terminal 2. It is barrierless, with no barriers on entry or exit: you pay online or by phone by midnight the day after your visit, or a Parking Charge is sent. The airport's turn-up page says there are no on-site payment facilities, but its multi-storey page says you can pay by card or contactless at machines on levels 1 to 8. T2 Express Pick Up is on Level 0. 2 metre (6ft 6in) height limit; for an over-height vehicle at Terminal 2, follow the signs to P5. The maximum stay is 10 days, which the airport says may be shorter at peak times. Blue Badge holders can park here. The airport warns that the multi-storeys have limited capacity and can't serve all demand at peak periods. Its Terminal 2 parking page shows £239.20 'on the day' for T2 Multi Storey, and its footnote says multi-storey prices are based on a 4-day stay; 4 days on the published turn-up tariff is £253.60 by our sum.
- T3 Multi Storey (P14): The turn-up car park for Terminal 3, which the airport's FAQs call T3 Short Stay, at the same prices as T2 West. Take a token from the entrance barrier, then pay at any of the automatic ticket machines in and around the terminal buildings, or insert the token into the barrier and pay when you exit. The T3 Pick Up zone is reached through it. 2 metre (6ft 6in) height limit; for an over-height vehicle at Terminal 3, follow the signs to P13. The maximum stay is 10 days. Blue Badge holders can park here.
- T2 Premium (P2): Pre-book only. The airport calls it its new car park right next to the terminal: you park and walk over to Terminal 2 in 1 to 2 minutes. Its pages give no height limit or other details of its own. Overstays cost £63.40 for each calendar day or part of one.
- T2 Park & Walk (P4): Pre-book only: the airport's ground-level short-stay car park at Terminal 2. Its pages give no height limit or other details of its own.
- Mid Stay (P12 and P15): Pre-book only. There are two: Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12, formerly the T1 Multi Storey), a 10-minute covered walk to Terminal 2 via the Skylink, with no minimum stay; and T3 Mid Stay (P15, formerly T1/3 Mid Stay), for Ryanair passengers, a 5 to 10 minute walk to Terminal 3, with a 3-day minimum stay (Parade Rd, M90 1AF). The airport sells it for trips of up to one week. Number-plate recognition opens the barrier, so there are no tickets, and you keep your keys. The airport says some heavier vehicles are restricted at P12. Blue Badge holders can park in either. Other airport pages give the walks as 10 to 15 minutes to Terminal 2 and 3 to 8 minutes to Terminal 3.
- JetParks: Pre-book only, with a 3-day minimum stay: the airport says JetParks is only available if you pre-book. There are three: JetParks 1, for Terminal 2 only, with a short 5-minute shuttle (1 Thorley Ln, M90 5AZ), and JetParks 3 and JetParks Ringway, which the airport calls its most affordable parking options, with shuttles to both terminals. The free shuttle buses run every 15 minutes. Entry and exit are by number-plate recognition, so no tickets. The airport says JetParks is the only long stay car park for over-height parking. Blue Badge holders can park in any JetParks car park, and the bus is free and fully accessible to wheelchair users. JetParks 1 also has the airport's free Drop Off area.
- Drop & Go (P16): Pre-book only. You drop the car and keys at the kiosk and one of the airport's fully insured drivers parks it. Its own page gives a 4-day minimum stay; the airport's long stay page says from 7 days. 2 metre (6ft 6in) height limit. Its address, Olivia Lane, M90 1NN, has the same postcode as the Terminal 3 Drop Off zone, but it isn't the drop-off zone. You are charged for any extra days you stay.
- Drop & Go Express (P10): Pre-book only: a new car park, listed on the airport's Drop & Go page, a 1 minute walk to Terminal 3 and a 12 to 15 minute walk to Terminal 2. The airport's pages give no minimum stay or height limit for it of its own. Overstays cost £63.40 for each calendar day or part of one, as at Drop & Go.
- Meet & Greet (P1): Pre-book only, at Terminal 2, with a 4-day minimum stay. You park in the Meet & Greet car park in T2 Multi Storey East (Palma Avenue, M90 4ZY), hand your keys in at reception, and a driver takes the car to an official, highly secure on-site car park; when you return, it is waiting close by. 2 metre (6ft 6in) height limit. The airport says it is suitable for Blue Badge holders, and that it doesn't offer a separate valet parking service. Terminal 3 Meet & Greet no longer accepts new bookings. You are charged for any extra days, but only if you leave more than 6 hours after your booked time.
- JetParks 1 free Drop Off area: All passengers can use it to drop off free, for a maximum of 60 minutes before an overstay fee is applied; the airport doesn't say how much that fee is. A free shuttle bus takes passengers to their terminal in around 6 minutes, running 24/7 with marshals on hand to help, but it is a one-way service from the car park to the terminal, so it is no use for collecting. There is a help point for passengers who need assistance. 1 Thorley Ln, M90 5AZ.
- Drop Off zones: Each terminal has its own Drop Off zone, at the same prices: £5.50 for 5 minutes, £6.50 for 10 and £25 for up to 30 minutes, the maximum stay. The full tariff is payable each time you drive in. There are no barriers: you pay online at pay.manchesterairport.co.uk, by phone on 03459 013318 or with AutoPay, by midnight the following day, and non-payment brings a £100 charge, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. You can't pick up here: the airport charges £100 for attempting it. At Terminal 2 (M90 5PH), take the 3rd exit at the Flag Island roundabout for the upper forecourt, or the 2nd for the lower one, which is on the Arrivals level and has a 2.0m (6ft 6in) height limit; Terminal 3's is at M90 1NN. Blue Badge holders drop off free if the passenger shows the badge to the traffic marshals.
- T2 Express Pick Up: The pick-up area for Terminal 2: follow the signs for P3 (sat-nav M90 5PR). £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, the maximum stay. The pick-up page says overstaying brings a £60 overstay charge; the Express Pick Up terms say a Parking Charge of up to £100 may be issued. Pay online by midnight the following day, by phone or with AutoPay. Blue Badge holders pay the normal tariff, and vehicles must not be left unattended. At Terminal 3, the Pick Up zone is inside the T3 Multi Storey (P14), at its turn-up prices: £6.60 for up to 15 minutes.

Booking ahead: Manchester Airport says pre-booking can save up to 77% on the turn-up price, based on an 8-day stay in January 2027; it doesn't say which car park or which turn-up price that is measured against. It recommends booking ahead, especially at peak times such as the summer holidays, and warns that its multi-storeys have limited capacity and can't serve all demand at peak periods, so it can't guarantee you a space if you just turn up. Book on the airport's own site, or compare the independent car parks below. The airport's terms say a booking made on its own website can be cancelled for a full refund, less any booking fee, with at least 72 hours' notice before your arrival time, and its FAQs say you can amend it up to 72 hours before. Later cancellations aren't refunded unless you bought cancellation protection, which allows changes up to 1 hour before arrival. Leave more than 6 hours after your booked exit time and you pay an overstay charge of £63.40 for each calendar day or part of one, in every one of its car parks. Bookings in the multi-storeys open only 2 to 3 months ahead.

A lift costs least in charges, but it means two return trips to the airport for whoever drives you. If you're driving yourself, don't just turn up at the barrier: the two multi-storeys, the only official car parks you can turn up at, both cost £443.80 a week that way. The Manchester drop-off guide has the full rules for the Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 Drop Off zones, and park or drop off at Manchester compares the two by trip length. Dropping off at the free JetParks 1 Drop Off area instead brings the lift down to £6.60, but your passenger takes the free shuttle bus to the terminal, around 6 minutes, and it doesn't run back the other way for collections. There is no turn-up price for a fortnight: the airport says the maximum stay in its multi-storeys is 10 days, and every other official car park is pre-book only.

Independent car parks near Manchester Airport
Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell independent park & ride at Manchester alongside the airport's own car parks: Holiday Extras points to the official Multi-Storey and Mid Stay car parks, and Airparks lists the official JetParks, Drop and Go, Mid Stay and multi-storeys. Airparks, for example, lists APH Park and Ride with a 7-minute shuttle, APM Park and Ride, where you can leave or keep your keys, with a 7 to 14 minute shuttle, and Maple Parking Park & Ride, for all terminals, with a 15 to 20 minute shuttle. Picking someone up
| Where to wait | Cost |
|---|---|
| T2 Express Pick Up, Level 0 of T2 West Multi Storey (follow the signs for P3) | £6.60 for up to 15 minutes (15 minutes maximum) |
| T3 Pick Up zone, in the T3 Multi Storey (P14) | £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, £8.60 for up to 30 |

| Terminal 2 and 3 Drop Off zones | Not for collecting: £100 charge for attempting a pick-up |
| JetParks 1 free Drop Off area | Not for collecting: its shuttle runs one way, to the terminal |
Manchester has no free place to wait for an arrival. At Terminal 2, use T2 Express Pick Up on Level 0 of T2 West Multi Storey: £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, with a £60 overstay charge after that (the terms allow a Parking Charge of up to £100), and you must not leave the car unattended. At Terminal 3, the Pick Up zone is in the T3 Multi Storey (P14), on the multi-storey tariff. If the flight is late or the bags are slow, the multi-storeys are the safer bet: £8.60 for up to 30 minutes and £13.20 for an hour, though the airport recommends its dedicated pick-up areas because multi-storey spaces are limited. Never collect from a Drop Off zone, which costs £100, and don't plan to wait at JetParks 1: its free shuttle runs one way only, from the car park to the terminal. T2 Express Pick Up and the Drop Off zones are barrierless: you pay online at pay.manchesterairport.co.uk, by phone on 03459 013318 or with AutoPay, by midnight the following day, or a £100 charge follows, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. T2 West Multi Storey has card and contactless machines on levels 1 to 8, or you can pay online or by phone by midnight the day after your visit to avoid a Parking Charge. The Drop Off and Pick Up areas don't take cash or cheques, and the airport says that from 21 October 2026 its car parks no longer take cash at any pay machine. At T3 Multi Storey you take a token at the entrance barrier and pay at a machine in or around the terminal, or at the exit barrier.

Hotel and parking the night before
Holiday Extras and Airparks both sell hotel-and-parking packages at Manchester. Holiday Extras says selected packages include parking at the hotel for the whole of your holiday; with others you stay at a nearby hotel, then drive to a park & ride car park and take the shuttle to departures, or leave the car close to the terminal with meet and greet. It lists hotels on the airport site too, among them the Holiday Inn, which it gives as a 2 minute walk to Terminal 2. Check which kind yours is before you book.

Meet & greet and valet
The airport's own Meet & Greet (P1) is pre-book only, at Terminal 2, with a 4-day minimum stay: you park in the Meet & Greet car park in T2 Multi Storey East, a 1 to 3 minute walk from the terminal, hand your keys in at reception, and a driver takes the car to a secure on-site car park, then has it waiting close by when you return. The airport says it doesn't offer a separate valet service, and Terminal 3 Meet & Greet no longer takes new bookings. Drop & Go (P16) and Drop & Go Express (P10), also pre-booked, take your keys at a kiosk instead. Holiday Extras says all of its current Meet and Greet packages at Manchester are official Manchester Airport services: you park in any available space and hand your keys over at the M&G reception. Airparks lists the official Meet and Greet at Terminal 2 as a 2-minute walk from the terminal, and says Terminal 3 Meet and Greet stopped accepting new bookings from 27 March 2026. Blue Badge and accessible parking
Blue Badge holders can use the Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 Drop Off zones free of charge, for drop-off only: the travelling passenger must show the badge to the traffic marshals on entry. There is no free pick-up: the Express Pick Up terms say the normal tariff applies to Blue Badge holders. At Terminal 2 the airport points badge holders to Express Pick Up, with its 15-minute limit, or the Short Stay area on Levels 1, 2 or 3 for longer; at Terminal 3, to the designated bays in the Pick Up Zone of the T3 Multi Storey (P14), where charges apply. The airport lists no Blue Badge discount in its car parks. Badge holders can park in any of the multi-storeys, JetParks and Mid Stay car parks, and Meet & Greet is suitable for them; all car parks have clearly signed disabled bays, but the airport says it can't reserve a space for a Blue Badge holder. There is a help point at the free drop-off in JetParks 1, the JetParks bus is free and fully accessible to wheelchair users, and the airport's assistance providers meet passengers who have pre-booked assistance at the forecourt. See how Manchester compares with other airports in the Blue Badge guide.

Lounges and fast track
Manchester has Escape Lounges in both terminals, a second Terminal 2 lounge and a private terminal on its lounges pages: the Escape Lounge, Terminal 2 (from £36.99 per person pre-booked, or from £55 walking up), the Escape Lounge, Terminal 3 (from £31.99 per person pre-booked, or from £49 walking up, for Ryanair passengers), The Executive by Escape Lounges (from £57.99 per person pre-booked, Terminal 2) and aether, the Private Terminal (from £199 per person, with its own security and a chauffeur transfer to or from your gate). Under-3s go free in the Escape Lounges and The Executive. The Executive's page gives £57.99 in one place and £56.99 in its FAQs. The 1903 Lounge in Terminal 2 has closed permanently, the airport says. Security FastTrack, the airport's own security lane in Terminals 2 and 3, costs from £5.49 per person and is open from 03:00 to 22:00; infants under three go through free, and passes are non-refundable unless stated otherwise when you book.

Manchester Airport parking: your questions
How much is parking at Manchester Airport?
If you turn up without booking, T2 West Multi Storey (P3) and T3 Multi Storey (P14) cost £63.40 for up to 24 hours and £63.40 for each 24 hours after, so a week costs £443.80; shorter stays start at £6.60 for up to 15 minutes. Every other official car park, including JetParks, Mid Stay, Drop & Go and Meet & Greet, is pre-book only. The airport says pre-booking can save up to 77% on the turn-up price, without saying against which car park or dates.
What is the cheapest parking at Manchester Airport?
On turn-up prices, the two multi-storeys tie at £443.80 for a week, because they are the only car parks you can turn up at. The airport calls JetParks 3 and JetParks Ringway its most affordable parking options, but JetParks is pre-book only, with a 3-day minimum stay. Holiday Extras and Airparks also sell independent park & ride near the airport.
How much is 3 days of parking at Manchester Airport?
If you turn up without booking, 3 days costs £190.20 in T2 West Multi Storey (P3) and £190.20 in T3 Multi Storey (P14). Those are our sums from the airport's published day rates, checked on 25 Oct 2026. They are gate prices, so check the pre-booked price for your dates before you travel.
Is there free parking at Manchester Airport?
Only for dropping off. The free Drop Off area in JetParks 1 can be used for up to 60 minutes before an overstay fee is applied, with a free shuttle bus to the terminal in around 6 minutes, 24/7. The shuttle runs one way only, from the car park to the terminal, so there is no free way to collect someone. Blue Badge holders can also drop off free in the terminal Drop Off zones.
How much is the drop-off charge at Manchester Airport?
£5.50 for 5 minutes, £6.50 for 10 and £25 for up to 30 minutes, the maximum stay, at both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. The full tariff is payable every time you drive in. Pay online or by phone on 03459 013318 by midnight the following day, or a £100 charge follows, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. Picking someone up in a Drop Off zone brings a £100 charge.
Where can I pick someone up at Manchester Airport?
At Terminal 2, at T2 Express Pick Up on Level 0 of T2 West Multi Storey (follow the signs for P3): £6.60 for up to 15 minutes, with a £60 overstay charge after that (the terms allow a Parking Charge of up to £100). At Terminal 3, in the Pick Up zone of the T3 Multi Storey (P14), at £6.60 for up to 15 minutes. For a longer wait, the multi-storeys cost £8.60 for up to 30 minutes and £13.20 for an hour. There is no free waiting area.
Can I just turn up and park at Manchester Airport?
Only at the multi-storeys: the airport's FAQs say to use T2 West for Terminal 2 and T3 Short Stay for Terminal 3, and its turn-up prices cover T2 West Multi Storey (P3) and T3 Multi Storey (P14). It warns that they have limited capacity and can't serve all demand at peak periods, so it can't guarantee a space. JetParks, Mid Stay, Drop & Go, Drop & Go Express, T2 Premium, T2 Park & Walk and Meet & Greet are pre-book only.
How long can I stay in the multi-storey at Manchester Airport?
10 days at most, the airport says, and the limit may be shorter at peak times. So there is no turn-up price for a fortnight: for a longer trip you have to pre-book another car park. The airport says the maximum stay in most of its car parks is 60 days, and longer stays can be requested from its contact centre.
Which terminal do I park at, Manchester Airport?
Ryanair flies from Terminal 3 and every other airline from Terminal 2; Terminal 1 has closed, though Ryanair passengers still check in through Terminal 1 departures. T2 West Multi Storey, T2 Premium, T2 Park & Walk, Mid Stay Multi Storey (P12), JetParks 1 and Meet & Greet are for Terminal 2. T3 Multi Storey, T3 Mid Stay (P15), Drop & Go Express and Drop & Go are a short walk from Terminal 3, and JetParks 3 and JetParks Ringway serve both.
Does Manchester Airport have meet and greet parking?
Yes, at Terminal 2: Meet & Greet (P1), in T2 Multi Storey East, pre-book only with a 4-day minimum stay. You hand your keys in at reception and a driver takes the car to a secure on-site car park. The airport says it doesn't offer a separate valet parking service, and Terminal 3 Meet & Greet no longer accepts new bookings. Drop & Go and Drop & Go Express, also pre-booked, take your keys at a kiosk.
Is it cheaper to park or get dropped off at Manchester Airport?
Being dropped off at a Drop Off zone and collected from Express Pick Up costs £12.10 if the drop-off takes 5 minutes or less and the pick-up 15 or less; you can't collect from a Drop Off zone. Dropping off free at JetParks 1 brings it down to £6.60, but your driver still makes two return trips. A week in either multi-storey costs £443.80 if you turn up without booking.
What are the height limits at Manchester Airport car parks?
2 metres (6ft 6in) in the multi-storeys, Meet & Greet and Drop & Go, and on the Terminal 2 lower forecourt. For an over-height vehicle, follow the signs to P5 at Terminal 2 or P13 at Terminal 3; the airport says JetParks is the only long stay car park for over-height parking. Roof boxes and trailers aren't allowed in any of its car parks.
Do Blue Badge holders park free at Manchester Airport?
No. They can drop off free in the Terminal 2 and 3 Drop Off zones if the passenger shows the badge to the traffic marshals, but the normal tariff applies at Express Pick Up, and the airport lists no discount in its car parks. All car parks have clearly signed disabled bays, but the airport says it can't reserve a space for a Blue Badge holder.
Can I cancel Manchester Airport parking?
The airport's terms say a booking made on its website can be cancelled for a full refund, less any booking fee, with at least 72 hours' notice before your arrival time; later cancellations aren't refunded unless you bought cancellation protection, which allows changes up to 1 hour before arrival. If you come back more than 6 hours after your booked exit time, you pay £63.40 for each extra calendar day or part of one. Check the terms of your own booking.
Do Manchester Airport car parks take cash?
No. The airport says that from 21 October 2026 its car parks no longer accept cash at any pay machine, and you can't pay for the Drop Off or Pick Up areas with cash or cheque. Pre-bookings take credit and debit cards and PayPal.

We re-verify the full dataset quarterly, and after any reported change — see how we check every figure and who maintains the site.
